I was recently going through the Conewago Township tax records and I came across this 1842 listing of the poor children in the township. I found lists of the poor children for other years, but this list stood out from the rest. It appears to give the dates of birth for most of the children listed. I hope this information proves helpful to someone. Good luck. Reichard, Reichart, Reherd, Reachert, etc families. Your Henry first shows up in Spring Garden in the 1849 taxes. I don't know where he was before that. I don't know who his parents are. While there are other groups of Reichards in Lancaster Co and Berks Co. usually they didn't come to York. Now that you have furnished Catherine's surname I will look again in York Co. this week to see what I can find. Sorry to say the York Twp Taxes are missing for most of the 1800-1850 period.
