It has been told to me that my Swarts/Swartz family came from the Lancaster area of Pa. to Clarion county at least by 1849. My aunt Marjorie has it written in her notes that her father David came from Lancaster. But then again she could be wrong as she has his date of birth listed at 1856 when every thing else points to about 1849/1850. This particular Swarts family had about 14 children. One of the childrens name was Christopher E. Swarts. Can any one help me back track them to make sure when they left Lancaster? Please and thank you in advance. Is anyone searching the Ritter families of York? I'm looking for Annie M. Ritter b. 1872. She married David Kahley. Searching for her parents and siblings. Could she be a sister to Elizabeth Ritter b. 1863, married an Einsig? I tend to think she was the daughter of George & Dorothy Miller. Their daughter was born 27 Jan 1793. She would match the age of Sarah Leib as found in the Dover Twp, York PA census records from 1850-1880 after which she died. her age may have been rounded up or down considering she was born in January and the census records are usually taken in July the 6th month and half way through the year.
