I very rarely open an e-mail unless I > recognize the sender or it has the name of the list in the subject line. >> here is something that may be of help. because some viruses are automatic and go from your email address list to other people and then goes out on their list without any of us doing anything, i don't open any file i get, even if someone i know, unless there is something personal written in the email. there thus has to be either a HELLO HOW ARE YOU or THIS IS FROM JOHN PAYNE or such before i will open the attached file and there has to be a signature matching the person who sent it, one way or another. when the HAPPY.EXE virus hit a friend of mine i got an email from him with the happy virus attached as it was automatic and he was not even aware that he had it at the time. i alerted him and he removed just as i deleted it without even looking at it or getting it. so be aware the file containing the virus CAN be from someone you know and trust but not be deliberate so act accordingly. i know this is not the subject of this list but i am just offering some advice to all of you cause you are so generous with your help on the list. ray lewis payne
