I've found my 2nd great grandfather, Asa Paine in the index. He had one daughter that I know of, Rachel Lou Payne, who would be about 7 years old in 1850. I know nothing of his wife or other children they may have had. It is as follows, Asa Paine, Cherokee Co. NC, Murphy twp, page # 32, ID # NCS5al325690.
