My mother, Clarice Payne, Uncle Ronald Payne and Grandfather Lesley Charles Payne came from Brighton, Sussex which is the next county to Kent. I think my Uncle emigrated to Australia but he had a son called David. My grandfather died when my Mum was quite young and she is 81 years old now. I dont know if there is a connection.
