Hi list! Would anyone happen to have any info concerning the ancestry of John Payne and Mary Coles? I found, in a gedcom file, that they had a son named John Coles Payne who married a Mary Isabell Landers. They in turn had a daughter named Mary Jane Payne who married George Cogar. If this is true, then I think that I have linked my Payne line together. Mary Jane was a sister to my gg grandmother Drucilla. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the submitter of the gedcom file, but I am hopeful about this info. I was told that, often, the style of writing back then caused the letters S and L to be similar. Therefore, it would be easy to mistake Landers for Sanders. If someone has any information about this, PLEASE contact me!!!! Thanks, Jill Hagelin
