I just had to jump in here with my two unusual names. Some of you might think I made thest up but they were (are) really. My husband was going to school for 6 months in 1964 at the Naval base in the Great Lakes. One day our five year old son came home telling me about the people who just moved in across the street. Their last name (I don't think it go over on the internet ), but yes it was F __ __ k. I told him that could not be their last name, because that was a bad word and I didn't want him to say I again. The next day, I had to remind him that it was a bad word and not to say it again or I would wash his mouth out with soap. Well, the next day I had the bar of soap in my hand and thought "before I do this I should go over and introduce myself and find out the correct name. To my great surprise HE WAS RIGHT. Can you imagine how shocked I was. The couple had 3 boys and 1 girl. In order not to hurt anyone's feelings since these individuals are still living I will not mention the first names, Male Andrew (family member) married Female Screws, they have a daughter and named her _____________ Screws Andrew. And I only thought I had it rough when people teased me about my name "Hazel", the medicine and cartoon character "Witch Hazel" and "Hazel the Maid" Shirley Booth, then to add "Payne" in the neck and other parts of the body, and here comes a "Payne". If only people would realize the hurt the child will have to endure throughout their lives with names such as these. Later,
