Dear Paynes: I am searching for information on John M. Payne b. in 1815 in TN. He was married to Louisa S. Dodd b. in 1826 in TN. He had 2 sons to a previous wife (unknown) James S. b. 1835 and Daniel b. 1839 both in TN. The family moved from TN to MO and appeared in the 1850 Pulaski Co., MO census. They also had 2 children named Lanning living with them. They may have been hers from a previous marriage. I would love to hear from anyone with any connection to this family.
