Annie Payne was born in 1850 in Illinois. In 1870 she was living with her Mother Angeline Payne in Long Bar/Marysville, Yuba Co., California. She married John L (Louis/Lewis) "Polk" Simmons circa 1873. Annie had 2 daughters - Lottie B. Olive Simmons. Annie died in 1881 and is buried in the Yuba City Cemetery, Sutter Co., CA. From the 1870 Census we learn that Annie was born in Illinois and her Mother was born in Missouri. From the 1910 Census We learn that Angeline Payne was born in Missouri, her Father in New York, and her Mother in Illinois. I have been unable to locate any information on Angeline (maiden name unknown) Payne's husband and Father of Annie. Also, I have been unable to locate any further information on John L. Simmons. John L. Simmons was born circa 1839 and died from a fall in 1904. He is also buried in Yuba City Cemetery. John and Annie are buried with the Galbraith Family. Angeline Payne. born 1816, died 1912, is buried in the Sutter City Cemetery, Sutter Co., CA. She is buried with the Tharp family. Does anyone have any ideas on my Payne (pain) family?
