Hello List I have a dilemma that I am desperatly trying to solve. I would like to find more out about a Sallie Payne, b. 2/9/1877 in NC, d. 1/26/64. Her husband was William Ross Payne or W. R. Payne of Marshall NC. I have Sallie's death certificate that lists her mother as Nancy Griffin and father Joe Payne. The problem is, according to her son's wife- my grandmother, Sallie's father was Garrison B. Brown, son of Harrison Brown and Syentha Roberts. I have Garrison's death certificate as well but the informants name is Mrs. G. B. Brown which ofcourse, gives me no help. I have tried to get a birth certificate on Sallie as well as information on all the other names- to no avail. Garrison died in 1950 and the address on both his certificate and Sallie's is the same. Can anyone give me ideas where to go with this?? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Michelle
