Dear Fellow Payne Researchers: I am trying to find information on my 3rd great grandfather John Messer Payne. He was born in VA in 1815. He had 2 sons who were both born in TN, James S. (b. 1835) and Daniel (b. 1839) I do not know the name of there Mother. I believe John remarried sometime in the late 1840s, and ended up in Pulaski Co... MO. The name of his 2nd wife was Louisa S. Dodd, Daughter of James Dodd and Milla Walker. She was born in TN in 1826, and was first married to John Lanning. Louisa and John ended up having several more children together, including my 2nd great grandfather Jeremiah Payne. Any information on this line would be greatly appreciated!
