Payne Listers, Coleman Cousins, The maiden name of Rebecca Coleman, wife of Thomas Coleman, born 1763 in Caroline Co., Va., died 1805 Spotsylvania, deemed to have been Kay or Key by Judge Bernard Coleman has been researched by Dr. Thomas W. Jones. In his report he states Thomas Coleman to be an executor of for Mary Aldus which land was later inherited or otherwise acquired. He points out the possibility of her being mother in law as the widow of John Payne. She would have been the correct age to be the mother of Rebecca.
