Connections of which i have several questions I hope some one can help me with. First: i have a land grant for Moses Payne, 1825 200 acres on Br Crab Orchard Fk Hopkins Co. I know he had land on East fork of Deer Creek also he deeded land to the Hanson Academy. could some one tell me What and where was the Hanson Academy ? are these pieces of land in the same area ? Second: Fielding Paynes wife Littie Russell was rumered to be Cherekee, any one have anyhing on this ? Third: It was rumered that James W. Payne was taken in by Moses and changed his name to Payne. The informant was Burlin Jenkins her Grand son. it was found out later that she was a Payne. This was proven on Lucy Death certificate, the informant on this was John Jenkins her son inlaw. it was found out later that the Smith came from a previous marriage 1880 Hopkins Co. Ky.
