Hi PAYNE family researchers, I am searching for any information concerning Mary PAYNE (born 1781) who was married about 1800 to George CARDIFF (born abt 1780) in Carlow County, Ireland. They had the following children in Ireland: John (born 1802) George (born 1807) Thomas (born 1811) Richard (born 1814) Ann (born 1815) William (born 1819) George CARDIFF left County Carlow in 1820 with his brother Richard and settled in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Mary PAYNE and the children followed shortly after. I have a full list of descendants of this family, however, I have very little information on ancestors. George and Richard may have been the sons of either George (who married Jane SMITH) or Richard who are listed as landowners in County Carlow at that time. An earlier ancestor may have been Mark CARDIFF and his wife Martha FENNEL who were married in County Carlow in 1761. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
