Would any of you good folks consider helping me find information about this ancestor. She was born 3 May 1817 in Columbia, Adams County, Ill and died 27 January 1854 in Columbus, Illinois. I believe her father was Bennett D. Payne and her mother was Mary Margaret (Polly) McKensey. She married James A. Bell about 1835 and they were early pioneers in Fontenelle, Nebraska. As a matter of fact, they retained Logan Fontenelle (rather famous Indian) to help them establish a home site in Nebraska. Their children, that I know of, were William Alexander Bell born 7 April 1844; Nancy Carrie Bell born 8 April 1846 and John L. Bell born about 1842. Many thanks, Ellen
