His wife's name was Matilda C.. I do not have her maiden name. His parents were Charles F. Payne and Lucinda Payne. I have records that Ed and Matilda sold their land in Arkansas in 1889 to his sister, Essie Payne m. Charles Hall of Poinsett Co. AR. Judi Wright
