I just got your message. The school orchestra played in the concert tonight also. They played and sang classical music. It was nice of them to get a little culture. I just quickly scanned over your fine. It is very well done. John Pridmore and his family also went to AL after 1820. His son ,my ancestor Thomas Pridmore, was the only one to stay behind in Union. I noticed that your Father was born in Dover, Stratford, NH. Don has some ancestors born there in the 1600s and1700s. Dover was a big Quaker colony then. Did your father have ancestors in Dover? Don's ancestors in Dover were Hanson, Meader, Horne, Varney, Otis, and a few others. He had another ancestor there captured by the Indians. Her name was Elizabeth Meader Hanson. Here is her story from my FTM page. http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/j/o/h/Susan-C-Johanson/FILE/0003text.txt It's a great story. I don't know whether I could have endured what she went through. I see that you were an army family. My husband was a Navy officer for 20 years and is retired now, working as a consultant in the DC area. Let me know about your Dover , NH people if you have researched that part of your family tree. Susan -- Susan C.
