Coleman, and daughter of William Payne born 1787 Virginia I have found the following: John Payne Family Report by complied by Bonnie C. Chumney and available for purchase at the Virginia's Descendants site. This has pages of indexed information. However, their John Payne - born 1615 England and died in 1690 Old Rappahannock County, Virginia and married to Margaret and they had 2 children: John III and Richard Sr. My would show John Payne - 1616 Tenterden, Kent, England and died 1690 in Richmond Henrico Virginia and he married Margaret and they had: Richard, George, John, Margaret, William. My question is have we somewhere along the line crossed all the information and then which becomes correct. I admit to not having seen the book published on the Paynes of Virginia. Mollie Jo Rogers
