I am a Payne descendant and am interested in knowing the status of this material. Is it possible that someone has volunteered or been hired to transcribe all 22 boxes? I live in NC, but have property in Patrick County, VA, and might be able to help out on the project. I have done a fair amount of transcription/compilation/abstraction and publication of genealogical data in Wilson County, NC, over the last ten years. I look forward to your reply.
