I am searching for Lydia Payne born April 1856 in Maryland (probably Washington County) She married James Long and for a period of time moved to Lovittsville, Loudon County VA. and had the following children: Charles W. Long b 1876 Lewis Long b. 1878 John E. Long b. 1879 Clarence Long b. 1885 Minnie Long b. 1886, died 1906 when she was killed instantly when she was talking on the telephone and was hit by lightening. This occurred in Sandy Hook MD. Isabel Long b. 1891 Clyde Long born 1894 (Some of the above children may have been born in VA and others in MD) James Long died sometime between the birth of Clyde 1894 and 1900. Lydia moved back to Sandy Hook MD and was found in the 1900 census living next door to Charles Payne born in 1855, his wife Lucy and son Charles 16 years old. This may be her brother.
