I am researching my grandfather's family. I don't have a lot of information about his family. I don't know what my grandfather's parents names was. Can anyone help? My grandfather's name was: Hobert or Hubert Payne born around 1899 ,died in 1966 in Bartow, CO. Ga. I don't know where he was born unless it was Oklahoma. He was a Cherokee Indian. I have been told that the Payne name is English {?} My grandfather's mother died and was buried in Oklahoma. My grandfather moved to Ga. This is my grandfather Hubert's brothers & sisters names. I don't know if this is all of the children. Lee Payne Church of God preacher the last time anyone knew any info about Lee he lived in SC. Marvin Lewis Payne The youngest, died in Chattanooga,Tenn. Frank Payne died in Missouri. Older brother Otto Payne died in Bartley, Oklahoma Two sisters Lucille Payne { called her Lily} Pearly Mae Payne don't know who they married Both lived in Bakersville, California I think there was a cousin Marvin Payne that live in Oklahoma near St. Louis Missouri.
