I recently located my great great grandfather Berry Payne on the 1880 Crockett Co. Tennessee census . He is listed as B. P. Payne with him is his wife Mary . Listed nearby him is Jane Standland the wife of James Stanley . Berry Payne and James Stanley were neighbors owning adjoining property in Lawrence Co. Alabama in 1870 .
