On the marriage of the of my John T. Payne & Mary A. ??? it says they were married by J. J. Webster the minister of Meth. Epis. church (Methodist Episcopal Church) in Georgetown, DC. on April 24, 1883. Can anyone give me more information on this church? Does it still exist? Where would I find the records for the mid 1800's. Does anyone have the DC directory for that time period? Would you please check for the church?
