I found a note in the family papers with a bit more information on William Emmett Payne's children of my previous post. Annie married 2nd a man named Carver. Dorothy married a man named Davenport. Rush had 8 girls, one was Charlotte the model. He died in his 30's in New Orleans, about 1920-25. Rex was wounded in WW1, crippled in one leg. He opened the first self-serve grocery store in Laurel MS. I hope someone out there recognizes these families. I would love to share the story of Tom with some family member. Marilyne Short Payne
