Hello Everyone, Thought I would update everyone all at once by posting this to the lists. Relative Genetics has completed the DNA profiles for ALL of our participants at this point and they are now working on the final test analysis with Dr. Woodward, the director. I am very encouraged by what I have heard so far. They have not revealed anything to me yet, but their questions are very interesting! They have asked me to provide more information on the genealogy of our participants, particularly those representing our earliest lines. I take this to mean that they have found something worth taking a closer look at. I have provided them with what is known about the English origins of our New England branches, as well as our family traditions surrounding the Virginia branch, along with other recent clues found in records. I still need to provide them details on the Jersey and Suffolk branches, but will not be able to finish that up until the weekend. But they will have it when they arrive back at the office on Monday. I cannot determine at this point how long the analysis process will take. They will need to digest the information and then write up an analysis for each participant, as well as a final report encompassing the entire project as I understand it. I imagine that could take a few days at least. I am in close contact with the lab (communicating with them everyday at this point) and as soon as they can give me a better idea on when we can expect to have results, I will pass it along to participants. By my own estimation, I would venture to say perhaps by the end of next week things should be wrapped up. I want to thank everyone (particularly the participants) for being so patient! I know this has taken longer than we initially anticipated, but that was largely my fault by allowing new participants to enter the project well after we began returning samples to the lab. This caused the process to be extended by several weeks I'm sure as each test requires 6 weeks. Nevertheless, we are in the final stage of the process and our contact assures us that we will be pleased with the results. That's a quote. Regards, Patrick
