I signed up as one of the initial participants in the Payne DNA project. My ancestor was Flayle Payne who was born in London, England in 1696 to parents Thomas and Elizabeth Payne. In the early 1700s Flayle was found in Maryland and was among the first inhabitants to move westward along the Potomac River. On January 9, Relative Genetics mailed me an envelope like all other participants in this project. The only problem was my envelope was empty except for a payment sheet. There were no swabs, no envelope, nothing. They promised to send the correct kit and it never arrived. I never heard from them. One more time I requested a complete kit and it did not arrive either. I can only assume two things. Either Relative Genetics did not want to include me in the project or they just do sloppy work. Norman L. Payne
