Hello fellow researcher, I am researching my family tree. I am looking for my grandfather and his parents. He is my father's father. His name was Russell Bernard Payne. He was born 03/01/1911 in Loundoun County, VA and died 09/1963 in an ambulance on the way to Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. He worked for the old Washington and Old Dominion railway as an engineer in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Then he was a driver for the State of VA. His parents were: Bernard Payne, b.unknown and Bertie ?, b.unknown. His siblings were: William Payne,b.unknown, who spent most of his life in and out of prison, at one time was incarcerated at Camp 30 in Fairfax, VA Ada Payne Carbaugh,b.unknown, m.Willis Carbaugh Irene Payne Bridges,b.unknown,m.Henry Bridges,still living Pauleen Payne, b.unknown Eadie "Duckie" Payne Fox, b. unknown Susie Payne Shutts, b.uknown, m.Frank Shutts Eileen Payne Buttery, b.unknown, m.Frank Buttery,Sr. Hazel Payne Cole, b.unknown, m.Arthur Cole Mabel Payne Tapp, b.unknown He was married to my grandmother Catherine Virginia Pullen and they had 4 children: Russell Edward Payne, Sr., b.09/22/1940 (my father) Joan Payne Payne(no relation) Bertie Payne Harding Bonnie Payne Harding My father also said that his dad was married before my grandmother and that they had one daughter. My father would be very interested in learning about his half-sister. He doesn't know her name or her mother's name because my grandparents never talked about them.
