During the 1800's, some families moved to Ontario (Canada), and to Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsyvania, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Germany, Sweden, California, Minnesota, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia and elsewhere. Some McCann relatives chose to go by the surname Atwood.
