Geri, I noticed on your posting of the Payne Monument, down at the bottom, that you are researching TAYLOR and WHORTON also. I have TAYLORs and WHORTONs associated with my PAYNEs. My grandfather Russell Bernard PAYNE married Catherine Virginia PULLEN. Her sister Mary PULLEN married a WHORTON. My dad married a TAYLOR. They were all mostly from Loudoun and Fauquier Counties, VA except the TAYLORs. The TAYLORs were all from Washington, D.C., Fairfax County, VA and the Isle of Wight, England.
