Robert and Dustin-- The info I sent you was from published books titled "VanBuren County Historical Journal" Volumes X and XI. The columns were written by Landon Medley, a prominent VanBuren County Historian. It goes from Charles Payne Sr. who was in the Rev. War, and died 1838 in Warren Co.,TN. His son John is my 3rd GreatGrandfather. He surveyed/laid out the boundaries of the new VanBuren Co.,TN. A son of Charles Sr., Charles Payne Jr., raised his family in Van Buren Co.,TN.--- His children were by 1st wife Sallie: Elizabeth 1815-Warren Co. Nancy 1817 Warren Co Orlenia 1821 Warren Co. Lewis G. 1822 Warren Co. Mary Ann 1824 Warren Co Sallie 1825-7 Warren Co. John F. 1828 Warren Co.,died after 1898(married 8 Aug.1848-Eva Caroline Martin, born 1828 died 1908,daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Sowders Martin)Both buried Concrd Cem., Texas Co.,MO.
