Greetings Payne List buddies, Not sure I've posted that my gedcom is up on WorldConnect at: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=genjen (search Paine and Payne...) I'm especially interested if anyone has a Nathaniel Mayo Payne/Paine in their files. The person I'm searching for was b. 1818 (poss Altona, Clinton Co. NY). - died 1905 Beekmantown, Clinton Co., NY. PARENTS: Thomas (b. 1781 - d. 1863) and Sally Paine b. 1781 - d. 1859) children: Amanda b. 1807 (m. Lorenzo Atwood), Thomas b. 1813, Jason b. 1815, and (Nathaniel) Mayo b. 1818. From a Poor House intake interview in 1905, an elderly Mayo Payne, states his parents were from "Harford, NY." There is a Harford, in Cortland County, NY. Harford, Cortland County is a town next to Caroline, Tompkins County, NY, where I know many Paines/Paynes settled. Can anybody make a connection?
