Dear Paxton/Paxson/Paxon searchers to this@ line; I was able to spend 3 days at the Tampa/Hillsboro library here in Florida. I found ref: to Edward Paxton/Paxson 3 times; refs to follow with excerpts; I don't know if any of these are the Edward/Edmond/ we are searching for. This as a first name is NOT common in these surname lines.... So the following needs to be followed upon. And I will, but it will, take time. I have looked on the common internet sites and cannot find any data on this LAWRENCE; so will go to the local Mormon library when it opens after 1st of Jan 2004.. THERE MAYBE something in the Microfisch Surname Index, which isnot!! on line.... We need to find a Lawrence with a William; it is my belief after this trip; that Reuben & Nancy Paxtons line is of the English lines; and perhaps out of CT or New Jersey; I cannot find any ref in Maryland records; and have written and e-mailed Dr Kerns<it came back as <demon mailer>@@@ Dr Wilmer L. Kerns Ph.D., author o! f <FREDERICK COUNTY FEE BOOK>. I wrote in 24 Oct, 2003; no answer, sent SASE; maybe hes ill or dead... he's one listing the book for sale......no copys to be found. Which lists Reuben Paxton on the earlist records I can find. 1744..with Nathaniel Thomas, Morgan ap Morgan and Morgan Bryan....so you can see the wish of finding or obtaining a copy of this book..
