Jack - I am hoping you can do a lookup for me in your "Emigrants to Pennsylvania 1641-1819:" book, or possibly you have run accross some of my Paxton's in you research. I believe my Paxton line came thru of PA. I am behind many of you, your research is in Europe. I am stuck in PA. This is a brief look at what I know: My John Paxton and his wife Nancy Shoemaker Paxton were born in PA. Both their parents were also born in PA, but I don't know where. John in 1812-15 and Nancy in 1817-18. I do not know where they were Married, but there first child was born in Ohio in 1840. Children: Whilehmina b 1840 Ohio Caroline b. 1840 Ohio maybe the same person or a twin Josephene Agnes - b 1842-4 Ohio Franklin B. b. 1846 Ohio Ezra Columbus b. 1849 Winchester, Union township, Van Buren Co., Iowa Violet Skinner b. 1 Sept 1850, Winchester, Union township, Van Buren Co. Iowa Jerome Bonapart b. 9 July 1857 Winchester, Union township, Can Buren C. Iowa Left Iowa by Ox Train June-July 1864 for California, but ended up in Stockton, Utah.
