Dear Cousiins, The tombstones of John Paxton and Mary Blair Paxton are both in the Rockbridge cemetery with their dates of birth and death. There are some stones which have become ilegible and one may be the elder generation John. If you are in the area and cannot find the cemetery, I suggest you go to the offices of the local paper in Lexington, Va. which is still published by a descendant of the original publisher and he will gladly direct you.
