He grew up in Kansas City, Portland and Albany, OR. Donald married Barbara Yutzie in 1951. He married Kathleen Chambers in 1977. Donald worked for Chevron Chemical in Kennewick from 1959 to 1978 and in Rock Springs, WY from 1985 to 1995 when he retired. From 1978 to 1985, Don owned his own bicycle shop and attended college. Donald enjoyed working as a wood turner, refereeing school athletics for years, and was a master gardener. He most of all enjoyed his family and his dog, Oscar. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, 4 daughters; Dawn Watson and husband Chuck of Kennewick, Jacquie Haima-Gourley and husband Brent, of Bend, OR, Sandi Robinson and husband John of Kennewick, and Debbie Moore, of Richland, 2 sons; Doug Paxton and wife Sue, of Scappoose, OR, John Chambers, of Wenatchee, 4 sisters; Dorothy Osmoe and husband Jerry, of Mt. Olive, IL, Phyllis Curtis, of Jamestown, MO, Nadine Harris and husband James, of Cushing, OK, Betty Saucedo, Kansas City, KS, and 2 half brothers; Bill and Gene Coffman, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 14 at the First Baptist Church, 27th and Hwy 395, Kennewick, WA. Private interment will be in Wenatchee City Cemetery, Wenatchee, WA. Services are under the direction of Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Kennewick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Charity of your choice.
