Jack, My Paxton ancestors were in VA too, however, I have not been able to find their names, only that they were there. The only Child name I have is David P Paxton who eventually setteled in Indiana, His wife was Sarah or Serena? He was born in 1837. This is all I know. Tamara, You are correct on your dates for all of these early immigrant Paxton's who ended up in Virginia according to my records.. I am a descendant of this Samuel's line as well. You might want to know that Timber Ridge Church is now in Rockbridge County, as Augusta County was divided and Rockbridge created from the original in 1778. To be more exact, Timber Ridge is approximately 5 miles north of Lexington, VA on US 11.
