Fourth St., Rochester, and formerly of 913 Jefferson St., Rochester, died at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 4, 2003, in her residence. She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Mentone, to Harmon E. and Lydia V. Curwin Paxton. On July 4, 1943, in Etna Green, she married James W. Lyons, who died Feb. 2, 1982. Living most of her life in the Rochester community, she formerly worked at Torrington Corp. and Torx Corp., both in Rochester, and Switches Corp., Leiters Ford. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary 852, Rochester. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Nancy) Van Lue and Vera Utter, both of Rochester; a son, Michael J. Lyons, Rochester; 15 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two great-grandchildren and two brothers. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Revs. Jerry Pitman and Robert George officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
