HI, I did read somewhere that the Houstons and the Paxtons traveled here together on the same ship and I want to say it was called Samuel. But give me a day or two to dig it up. I have that information somewhere. Jan Nanapax@aol.com wrote: Can someone please authenticate that these "three brothers came from Ireland to Pa." . No ship has been named on which they voyaged, no port of entry and no name for the husband of the widow. I am a direct descendant and would very mu ch like to have these questions answered . In an old work written in Lexington, Va. there is a statement that John Paxton's Bible was in possession of the Houston family. Has it been found? Any facts will be so appreciated. Thanks! J. Janis: It is believed that the John Walker of Wigton Scotland was also traveling with the Paxton and Houston families. I am descended from all three names. Emma White in her 1902 book "Descendants of John Walker" states that the Walkers came to America in 1725 - 1725 time frame, landing in PA. I have never been able to find a name for the ship and would be interested in any information that you might have.
