Hello, I've been on the list before, but it's been a while, as I've been researching other lines. My "most wanted" Paxton is also a dead-end for me. Samuel Paxton, born about 1804-ish, married Amy Wilcox in Franklin Co. OH 11 Sept. 1823. Samuel died 1 Sept. 1849 in Franklin Co. OH, leaving Amy with a large brood of children to raise. Their son Robert (1830-1907) is my gg grandfather. Have been trying to discover who his parents were for more years than I care to think about, with no success. Samuel & Amy's wedding application mention that his father was dead, his mother gave approval for the marriage, but unfortunately failed to say who his parents were. Amy's father is listed in her part of the application. Alice Allen
