Hello List, I noticed on the IGI List in Deaths A James Stewart Paxton from Musselburgh Scotland it gives the Correct Birth Date and place of My great grandfathers Nephew. It also said the death Date but do not tell me where he died and is buried? Is there someone on the list that has seen this information somewhere other than the IGI list please? It also gives his wife's full name and Marriage Date but nothing else. I think this James Stewart Paxton was the son of George Paxton and Janet Millar? Here is James Stewart Paxton's Birth Date September 27, 1874 Born in Musselburgh, Scotland. Marriage to Elizabeth Matilda Aucock On April 27, 1901 At St, Luke's Deptford, Surrey, England, UK James Stewart Paxton died November 21, 1929 but Where Please? Hi Pamela, Glad to see you back in the list. How about the following from the 1901 census? 1901 census (31st March 1901) James Paxton 26 Scotland Guernsey The Vale Golf ... Ball Maker Elizabeth Paxton 25 London Guernsey The Vale Violet Paxton 11M England Surrey Guernsey The Vale It would seem that there are several points here. If he was in Guernsey in March 1901 with a daughter nearly a year old, the IGI entry of a marriage 4 weeks later in Deptford is suspect. His age of 26 would tie up with the IGI entries of christenings of both 27/7/1875 and 27/7/1874 in Scotland. You need a copy of the marriage certificate to see who the parents are before going further.
