VA Paxton descendants: I'm looking for info about the Rockbridge Co.VA home and/or inn owned by Maj. Wm Paxton and his wife, Eleanor Hays Paxton. Does anyone know where it was located? What happened to it? Not sure about a home owned by Maj Wm Paxton. We visited the home of Gen Elisha Franklin Paxton in Buena Vista last summer. They are restoring it, but it is possibly two years from completion. It will be impressive when finished.
