"Bob" Paxton KENNETH R. "BOB" PAXTON Age 72 of Valparaiso, formerly of Hammond and Rotunda, FL, passed away at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago on Friday, March 5, 2004 after a courageous and difficult battle he was no longer able to continue. He leaves this earth to be with the love of his life, his wife, Lois Jean (Bowen) Paxton, who passed away 5 years ago; also his mother, Katherine (Dibblee) and father, Weldon George Paxton, who have passed before him. Born September 22, 1931 in Hammond, Indiana, Bob had worked as a Switchman for the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, retiring in 1989 with over 35 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force, a veteran of the Korean War, was a member of the Oakland Hills Country Club, American Legion and Elks of Rotunda, FL, and enjoyed fishing, cooking, landscaping, golfing, and spending time with his family. Bob was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by his daughter, Cindy (Paxto! n) Eaton and son-in-law, Lanny Eaton of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Lindsey, Ty and Kelly Eaton; sisters, Janet Bowen of Valparaiso, Mary Kay Wilson of Gary and Sharon Youngblood of Indianapolis. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with his special friend, Sadie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Weller officiating and burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Visitation Monday, 4-8 pm. at the funeral home. Angelcrestinc.com
