She was born May 2, 1930, in Lancaster to the late Edward and Grace McGonagle Paxton. Mary, a 1949 graduate of St. Mary's, worked as an O.B. technician at Licking Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and LaSertoma. Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Mr. Michael J. and Linda Franks of Collegeville, PA, Paul Timothy "Tim" and Theresa Franks of Mooresville, IN; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Ronald Noll of Mount Carmel, Ill., daughter and her significant other, Susanna Simpson and Robert Fouse of Heath; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Diane Paxton of Pickerington; her sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Owen Lefebure of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Franks, in 1986. Friends will be received at Reed-Egan Funeral Home 141 N. Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov.9, 2003, where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 with the Rev. Robert Penhallurick and the Rev. Mr. Michael Franks officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
