Bernie Paxton - J. Bernie Paxton, 64, of RD 4, Williams Road, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born in Petersburg, W. Va., he was a son of the late Paige E. and Della (Teeter) Paxton. He had been owner and operator of Bernie's Atlantic service station of Greene Street, and was a member of the Church of God, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 90 and the AARP. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Beulah "Boots" (Stafford) Paxton; one daughter, Mrs. Helen P. Burkett, Hagerstown; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Jane Reid, Fallings Waters,W.Va.; Mrs. Thelma V. Morris, city; Mrs. Genevieve Adams, Clearville, Pa.; one brother, Eston P. Paxton, RD 9, Hinkle Road, and one half-brother, Rennie W. Shreves, city. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the George Funeral Home. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas M. Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park." Also included in the box was a memorial folder for Bernie. In Memory of / J.
