My ggrandparents, Phoebe Paxton and James Beardsley lived out their adult lives in Paterson, New Jersey. Family tradtion and the obituary for James Beardsley say that Phoebe Paxton was "...from South Orange, New Jersey," but I not yet had the time to pursue records in the Oranges. All the data above comes from our family bible recorded in the middle of the 19th century but not recorded as the births and marriages happened, except for Phoebe and James.
