Steve, I am searching for a similar situation which is probably just as frustrating as yours. Sarah Paxton, born 1810 in Virginia was my GGG grandmother. She married David Deyarmon in 1830 in Jefferson County, Ohio and then died in 1871 in Jefferson County, Ohio. There is also James H. Paxton/Paxson, who I believe to be her brother. They are together for at least 4 censuses and they are buried next to each other too. He was born 25 Sep 1807 in Loudoun County, Virginia, married Nancy Ann Rouse in 1847 in Jefferson County, Ohio and died in 1891 in Jefferson County, Ohio. Do you have an idea where Joseph could have resided -- what county in Virginia. These birthdates are aweful close. What do you think?
