Anna I have only a small caption on this family, which states that Samuel had lands warranted to him in Cumberland township( I hope I have the correct one!) Either he or one of his son's finally settled in Clermont county, Ohio. John, the oldest of 18 children( and again, I hope i have the correct family)( i am missing the first part of a transcript), was b in York Co, PA about 1742, moved to Washington Co, late in the 18th C, and died there 1807, children; 2 known, Nathaniel, william and a daughter who married a Stewart. John , the notes said, seems to have settled in Cross Creek Twp, 10 miles W of Cannonsburg. hope this is of some help. robert Anna wrote: > Dear Paxton Cousins, > > I need a tad of help along these lines. > > For those of you with this lineage: > > James Paxton 1640, dying 1720 in Ireland > <son, Samuel Paxton, b 1670 IR, d 1746 in PA > <Samuel Paxton b 1705 d 1793 > with the two wives, 14 children by the first, > and four by the second. > Do your records show he was age 72 when > he fathered his son Jonathan by his second marriage? > Age 74 for Mary, age 75 for Sarah, and age 76 for Margery? > Also does anyone have the death and burial place for > the above Samuel Paxton [1705-1793] > > Thanks so much for your kindness and assistance. > Anna > [email protected] > > ==== PAXTON Mailing List ==== > Your Support Keeps RootsWeb Free! > http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/how-to-subscribe.html
