Julian was the daughter of William Moore and Sarah (?) William was born in 1750 and died October 1799 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia and Sarah (?) was born 1750 - 1755 and died March 1804 in Green County, Kentucky. The children of Hugh Paxton and Julian Moore are: (1) John Moore Paxton born before 1800 and married 1828 to Cathy Ann McMahan (2) David Paxton (3) Jonithan Paxton (4) Robert M. Paxton (5) Sally Paxton (6) Margaret Paxton (7) Polly Paxton (8) Johnson Paxton (9) Sally Jane Paxton John Moore Paxton married Cathy Ann McMahan on February 28, 1828. She was the daughter of Andrew McMahan and Jane Walker and they had the following children: (1) Sarah Jane Paxton born November 29, 1828 (2) Andrew McMahan Paxton born january 31, 1830 and married Catherine Jane Patram; and Harriet Birdie Craddock (3) Samuel Paxton born May 27, 1831 and died August 14, 1884. He married Mary F. Smith; and America F. Woodward (4) William E. Paxton born before 1838 and died May 03, 1874. He married November 25, 1866 Mary Jane Heizer Andrew MCMahan Paxton and Catherine Jane Patram ; daughter of William Patrum and Susannah Brewer. They had the following children: (1) John Richard Paxton born May 16, 1855; died February 07, 1894; married Martha J. E. Hood on December 06, 1877. (2) Samuel William Paxton born November 16, 1857; died 1930 and married Willia Ann Paxton; and Nancy Ellen Hopkins (3) Hugh Jasper Paxton born December 16, 1862 and died December 01, 1944. On December 23, 1885 he married Ida Heizer Moore (4) James Henry Paxton born August 29, 1860 and died April 27, 1940.
