It's interesting to note that my GGGGrandfather was named Samuel Paxton who had brothers John, William, and James and sisters Grace, Jane, and Mary. But my Samuel was born in PA in 1782 and died in McConnellsville, Ohio in 1865. I have his only wife named Martha Kerr who died in 1821 in PA. His brother John died became a Doctor and married Sallie Slemmons and stayed in PA. His brother William became a minister and married Jane Dunlop and also stayed in PA. I don't have any information on his brother James although I suspect he also stayed in PA. Grace married John Coughey in PA. Jane married Joseph McGinley and stayed in PA. I don't know what happened to sister Mary. So many of the Paxton's shared common names it makes it all the more difficult to track down correct information.
