His funeral is planned Monday, January 30, at 2 p.m. in Sunnybrook Christian Church with Minister Tom Moll officiating. Strode Funeral Home is handling the arrangements, which include interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Paxton was born in Glencoe on May 30, 1914, to Charles and Dora (Mulford) Paxton. He attended Eureka schools and farmed with his father in the Glencoe area. He served in the armed forces and was shipped to Germany shortly after his marriage to Connie Harden in 1944. Together, they later moved to Stillwater where he was employed by the City of Stillwater at the Boomer Lake Power Station. He retired after 29 years of service. He worked as a welder and was a member of Sunnybrook Christian Church. Paxton is survived by his wife; one son, Mike Paxton and his wife Dianne of Yale; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Edward Paxton and his wife Mary of Glencoe, and a sister, Helen King and her husband Merle of Stillwater.
